Tonight is the first "Paint Your Masterpiece" class, we are going to be looking at Monet's Nymphéas.
I created two paintings inspired by Monet's work in 2019 before leaving Australia. The phases of the painting are shown below. 1. Base layer with light and dark areas and painting structure set.
2. Addition of colours through expressive brushstrokes.
3. Dark base enhances the luminosity of reds.
4. Final paintings, both large and small, express the same feeling but are distinct from each other.
