Volley Ball and The Song of the Sirens.
Two very different paintings created one year apart.
But somehow similar in structure.
You can tell though I think that something dramatic had changed in my life. I had a break down, a mental snap.
Because I could visualise it in those first few weeks I thought I would paint what I felt was happening in my mind.
Naturally I also did the sensible thing and consulted medical help. I was in therapy for two years after that event.
It was very interesting to be able to paint such a unique event.
It is one of the privileges of being an artist, that everything can be a subject to paint and investigate.
I made 68 paintings that year. A record for me by a factor of 4.
I hope 2020 to create nearly as many.
