Melodies

My life has been in great turmoil over the past few years so emotionally every day is very different for me. Being able to express the emotions in paint relieves my soul. It gives me the freedom to refresh and recharge each day. I hope that looking at this work feeds people souls and opens up a freedom from within.
This series is the culmination of the work I began in lockdown, when I went on the beach during my one hour exercise time and painted the clouds in an emotional rather than a photographic way.
I worked fast basing my original ideas on looking at the sea and the sky and painted quickly getting out the emotions I had on the day.
This series is composed of 12 works ranging from small to large watercolours.
Working on this series has allowed me to really open up to brand new ideas and has given me access to a whole new set of techniques and brought a freedom to my work that is invigorating.
