This painting is part of a series that begins with these sketches that I did on a holiday in Cornwall.

This series is the culmination of the work I began in lockdown, when I went on the beach and painted the clouds in an emotional rather than a photographic way.
I worked fast basing my original ideas on the sea and the sky getting out the emotions I had on the day.

My life has been in great turmoil over the past few years so emotionally every day is very different for me. Being able to express the emotions in paint relieves my soul. It gives me the freedom to refresh and recharge each day. I hope that looking at this work feeds people souls and opens up a freedom from within.

This series is composed of 12 works ranging in size from small to large watercolours.
